NEP Age Criteria & Formalities

Admission

National Education Policy (NEP 2020) & KVS-Aligned Admission Policy

GyanSootra Pre-School follows the 5+3+3+4 pedagogical architecture established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS 2022).

Our curriculum and age criteria directly mirror the pre-primary framework followed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and the Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi. This ensures that children graduating from our UKG program meet the strict statutory age eligibility requirement (minimum 6 years completed as of 31st March) for admission into Class 1 across CBSE and government schools.

• Cut-off Date: Calculated strictly as of 31st March of the admitting academic session.

• KVS 1st April Rule: Children born on 1st April are eligible for the corresponding age bracket under official KVS norms.

• Zero Screening / No Child Interviews: In accordance with Section 13(1) of the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009, children are never subjected to admission screening, written tests, or parent interviews.
