Choosing your child’s first school is an important decision. At GyanSootra Pre-School, Wazirabad Village, we create a welcoming environment where children can feel comfortable, build friendships and discover the joy of learning.

Through play, practical activities and age-appropriate classroom learning, we help children develop communication, confidence, independence and strong foundations for their school journey.

We work closely with parents, recognising that every child brings their own interests, needs and pace of learning.

Our approach combines guided classroom learning with opportunities to explore, practise and participate.

Language and communication

Rhymes, stories, conversations, vocabulary activities and early phonics help children develop listening and speaking skills. English and Hindi learning includes age-appropriate letter recognition, reading readiness and writing practice.

Early mathematics

Counting, matching, sorting, shapes, patterns and practical number activities help children build understanding step by step.

Awareness and discovery

Children learn about their surroundings through familiar themes such as colours, animals, plants, seasons, family and community helpers.

Creativity and movement

Art, craft, role play, dance and indoor play give children opportunities to express themselves, practise coordination and enjoy learning together.

Social skills and independence

Everyday routines encourage sharing, taking turns, caring for belongings and communicating needs.

Teachers use oral responses, recognition tasks, practical activities and age-appropriate written work to understand progress and plan further support.

The routine varies by class and children’s needs. A typical day includes:

1. Prayer and circle time
2. Guided classroom learning
3. Fruit break
4. Learning activities and practice
5. Lunch break
6. Indoor play or dance
7. Activities, conversation or oral revision

This balance gives children time to learn, eat, move, interact and play.

Starting preschool can bring excitement as well as tears. We work with families to make this transition gentle and reassuring.

Our settling-in support includes shorter initial school hours, guidance from a familiar teacher and introductions to children of a similar age. Toys, slides and enjoyable activities help children become comfortable with their new surroundings.

We keep parents updated and discuss reassuring ways to talk about school at home, helping each child gradually build confidence.

GyanSootra is an indoor preschool with a separate area for play and activities.

Children have access to slides, a trampoline, toy cars, scooters and other play materials. A reading corner introduces them to books and stories.

A computer-connected smart projector and Smart TV support selected classroom lessons through visual learning, rhymes and educational content. These resources complement teacher-led interaction and hands-on activities.

We support children’s wellbeing through:

2. Authorised pickup arrangements
3. Fire extinguishers and emergency exits
4. Trained staff
5. First-aid provision

Personal attention and communication with families are central to our approach to care.

We value open, respectful communication with every family.

Monthly parent meetings provide opportunities to discuss progress, classroom participation, habits and areas where a child may need support. We also stay in touch through updates and conversations.

Parents are welcome to share concerns and suggestions. We listen carefully and take feedback seriously.

Through Nursery, LKG and UKG, children gradually build foundational learning skills alongside confidence, communication and independence.

We also guide parents on admissions to other schools for Class 1, helping families prepare for the next stage of their child’s education.

Admissions remain open throughout the year.
